Bryant Park Vest
Most people know about Central Park. But there's also Bryant Park, the area behind the famous New York Public Library on 42nd Street. It's a peaceful oasis in mid-town Manhattan - perfect for a stroll or sitting on a bench and enjoying the fall colors.
This cozy vest is perfect for fall through winter and is edged in a sturdy 1x1 rib and fastened with one pretty button. A big lush, braided cable follows the button band, and also makes its appearance on the attached pockets.
The vest is knitted in one piece, including the button band, bottom up, then separated at the armholes to knit the back and fronts separately. It will have moderate ease, and gentle waist shaping is created by a band of ribbing at the waist. It's virtually seamless and the visual effect of the vertical cables will be slimming to many figures.
