Athabasca was inspired by the beauty and wildlife of northern Alberta, Canada where my grandparents homesteaded. With the cooler weather, your throw is perfect to snuggle up in, will be a striking accent piece and become a cherished heirloom to pass down to future generations.

This beautiful throw is knit flat using the reversible, "Double-knit" technique making each side a mirror-image of the other.  The result is there is no wrong side since both layers are knit at the same time. This pattern is perfect for intermediate knitters or adventurous advanced beginners wanting to learn a new technique.

Each throw is customized making yours a unique, one-of-a-kind addition to your home. To customize your throw, you choose two panels from the selection of eight which includes six different animals, making dozens of combinations possible. Then select two sharply contrasting colors which results in an original throw that was designed by you. Throw is worked flat, back and forth in rows. Once you finish your last stitch you are finished, no weaving and no sewing.

PANEL CHOICE: Beaver, Buffalo, Squirrel and Wolf with both the Moose and Bear panels having two variations to select from.

Pattern includes step-by-step instructions and charts for all techniques from cast-on to bind-off making this an enjoyable, relaxing knit.
