A compact repeat makes the lace pattern more manageable for new lace knitters, providing a great opportunity to learn lace mesh and patterns where stitch count varies from row to row.
The Aibell Cowl is a single-wrap cowl worked in the round, from the bottom up. It can be made wider or taller by adding lace repeats.
