I have had this scale for about 5 yrs now and I love it. When sending small packages I weigh it at the house and then have the post office weigh it again - always the same weight! unless a fraction off, which this scale is not to be expected to be like a PO scale by any means. I have maybe replaced the batteries once in all these years. Not sure why such low reviews prior? I dread the day this one no longer works.

I have been using this scale for a while, believing it to be accurate. I was sadly mistaken. At present I am working on a project that has a need for accuracy in knowing how much yarn is remaining and I have depended on this scale for that. I'm more than half through and have realized at it is not accurately measuring the yarn. When I weighed the three colors of yarn at the beginning, the three colors weighed 52 g, 52 g and 49 g. Now it's weighing an unused ball that was 52 g as 36 g and the other two balls change in weight every time I weigh them. I changed out the batteries, but that hasn't helped. Every time I weigh the balls they are different. Don't buy this if you want accuracy.

This is not a good scale for yarn. If you are looking to accurately measure how many yards are in ball or how much yarn was used in a row it is completely useless. It is just a basic kitchen scale.
