Sock Knitting Needle Holders

If you have ever been impaled by a sharp double-pointed needle, then you can appreciate the need for keeping yourself and your projects protected while they are still attached to the needles. These ingenious little paper board tubes protect your DPNs and hold your project while it is still in progress. They extend to hold both the shortest and longest needles, completely encasing the needles to protect their tips as well. To store your DPNs when you are not using them, just rotate the two halves of these tubes so the slots are offset. Fits up to a set of five 8” US size 9 DPNs. Package includes two tubes.

Excelente articulo, es lo que necesitaba, ya no mas perder o romper mis agujas de doble punta. Excellent item, is what I needed, no longer lose or break my double pointed needles.

This cleverly designed item is exactly what I was looking for! Yes, I treat mine gently, as they are made of treated cardboard. They could be reinforced with some tape if need be, but for the price, A great product!

While it's a bit tricky getting the needles and project into the tubes properly, once they're in they generally stay in place. However, as others have noted, they aren't the sturdiest. I haven't had peeling problems, but I did have the ends of the tubes come loose! The glue holding them in place wasn't strong enough.

I love these and use them all the time. One thing that would be a nice addition is a ruler or tape measure added to them to aid in measuring the length of the different parts of the socks.

I am a sock knitting fanatic! I have MANY sets of these, and I think I would stop knitting socks if I didn't have them. Are they perfect? No. . But you do get what you pay for. They are made out of cardboard, and the ends do sometimes come out. They are not indestructible. But for the price that you pay, they are way better than anything else on the market in this price range. I love them, because they protect my size 0 needles from breaking in my knitting bag, and they are easy to use. If you are looking for something more permanent, and hand crafted, I also have a dpn holder from a website called It is a hand crafted wood holder that is beautifully constructed, but also significantly more expensive.
