Jacquard Acid Yarn Dyes - 27 Colors

$3.49 - $4.99

Can’t find yarn in a color you like? Don’t worry, we have you covered with these colorfast dyes. They will brilliantly color any protein fiber (wool, alpaca, cashmere, silk) and nylon. Simply choose from our selection of Bare yarns and dye with one or several of the 27 colors shown. Try the Starter Set of 6 colors to experience a nice range of colors, or you can play with blending dyes to get a custom color. Each 1/2 oz. jar will dye approximately 2 lbs (900 grams) of fiber, depending on the depth of shade.

Use our natural yarns and try dyeing for the first time by following the directions in our Kool-Aid® Dyeing Tutorial, Jacquard® Dye Tutorial. or our Gradated Dyeing Tutorial.

Download the manufacturer's instructions to learn more about the process.

We know it's obvious, but also worth repeating: Final color results may vary. (Sometimes surprises can be tremendously pleasing, but if you are not happy with the results, don't despair. Overdyeing can cover a multitude of mistakes!)

These dyes are absolutely amazing! I used Gunmetal and Yellow Sun and both my skeins turned out absolutely gorgeous. I will definitely be using these dyes in the future for when I want to be more experimental with my yarn!

I have used many of the Jaquard acid dyes, and I am generally very pleased with how my projects turn out. I find the colors they show to be very close to what you get. If you have a hard time getting black or any color, you need to add more dye to your pot... it will come out a jet black. I wish they came in larger containers and had more colors.

I love these dyes! And as far as the jet black goes, it really is JET black. Totally opaque and saturated! LOVE them! My only complaint is you only get a small amount of dye. The dye only fills like 1/15 of the container that they come in....

I'm fairly new to dying yarn, and have been experimenting with food coloring and Kool aid, just recently I decided to step up to acid dying and along with the bare felici yarn I am very pleased with the way the colors have come out. I had no problem with the black, although I did only dye self striping yarn so I didn't have a whole lot to dye. The colors are amazing, I bought scarlet as well which turned out a beautiful, rich "true red". All the colors I purchased I've used on various skeins and am extremely pleased, I have even combined food coloring with the acids to create some truly amazing and beautiful stripe combinations for socks. I will definitely be coming back for more of this stuff!

I had the same issue with black until I realised I wasn't using enough dye powder, now I'm getting a true black! At least as black as I think I can get at home!
