Swish DK Yarn

$2.75 - $4.22 50g / ball

Swish is the superwash of knitters’ dreams! By selecting high grade Merino wool (20.5 microns), we have been able to produce a machine washable yarn that is super soft - definitely worthy of being worn against a baby's skin. Just the ticket for children’s clothes, afghans, charity knitting and gift knitting. No need to worry about the care your knitting will receive since this yarn can be machine washed and will come out even softer than before! The DK weight is ideal for color work and Fair Isle, making warm and colorful hats, mittens, pullovers, even baby bootees.

Note: For best machine wash results, turn the garment inside out and wash in cold water on a delicate cycle. You may want to wash projects made from darker colors by themselves for the first few washes in case the yarn bleeds a bit.

"I love this yarn - it's so soft, washable, and comes in beautiful colors.  When it's knit at more of a worsted gauge, the fabric is so light and drapy, yet snuggly too!"
-Amy, Knit Picks customer

"My order arrived and I am very pleased. It IS soft enough for a baby and the colors are beautiful. And I don't have to worry about someone being afraid to wear it for fear of washing it. Thank you so much, I can't wait to knit it up!" Julie N., Knit Picks customer

I'm using this to knit the Braid Hills Cardigan, as a substitute for the much more expensive Blacker Swan yarn. I think it's lovely; it's very soft and the stitch definition is excellent. Since it's superwash, the stitches don't stick to each other and unknitting back to a mistake is easy; however, this also means if you drop a stitch it is more difficult to retrieve it. All in all, I love this yarn and I'm already looking at other colors for future Braid Hills.

Just bought my forst two skeins in bordeaux and doe colorways Love the deepness of colors but I actually thought this yarn would be a bit thicker maybe because Im used to swish bulky .... Either way Im using it in a baby blanket it knits up well just a little time consuming
