$10.99 100g / hank

A super-soft, affordable, washable treat for your feet. This tonal spectrum shows of seven shades of any of your favorite colors. The variegation in Stroll Tonal is subtle enough to highlight complex stitch patterns, but still add interest as you knit through the shifting colors. Each skein has been carefully hand painted, to create an even and consistent distribution of colors. This superwash Merino and nylon blend is ideal for easy care knits, such as socks, garments for children, or gifts.

This is by far my favorite yarn on Knit Picks. I've used the Wine Tasting, Blue Yonder, and Springtime colorways and all are absolutely gorgeous and true to photos. I don't knit socks, but I love knitting scarves and shawls with this yarn, they always turn out amazing and the yarn is wonderful to work with.

I usually use Felici and Stroll to knit socks, but the Kindling colorway of Stroll Tonal is perfect for my guy, so I decided to try it. The first three patterns I tried resulted in hideous pooling. Finally, I tried the Vanilla Latte sock pattern, and SUCCESS! No pooling whatsoever, and the tones of brown are just beautiful. The colors repeat themselves about every five rows and really pop. So, with this yarn, remember to be finicky about selecting the right pattern to show it off! Other than that, it is soft and great to work with. I will no doubt order more in the future.

I'm rating this average because I've had good and bad expeirnces. The pearlescent colorway is beautiful, and the yarn was lovely to knit a shawl with. The thunderhead colorway, however, was much muddier than I expected from the picture. The skein also looked like it was handled roughly, almost as if it was already pilling. Seems to be quite a lot of quality control issues with this yarn, buyer beware.

I love this yarn it is wonderful to work with. It's buttery soft and knits up with great stitch definition. I love the colors they are just as pictured. And best of all you only need one to knit a pair of socks!

I like this yarn - easy to work with, soft and the colors are lovely. HOWEVER, I do not agree that it is good for complex stitch patterns when making socks. I am making the Masala Chai pattern and the color changes come too fast and make it hard to see the design. That being said - it will look lovely for just a straight knit sock.

Beautiful feel to the yarn, and I don't usually like wools. I had used the pearlescent, which wasn't as silvery as expected, but still had some lovely light grey and beige tones that had a nice soft hue to them. More earthy than silvery.

This yarn is an absolute dream to work with! So soft and silky, with great stitch definition. And the price can't be beat. Making Tiny Owl Knits beekeeper's quilt with lots of different fingering yarns, and this one is my favorite so far. The color changes are beautiful. Couldn't be more happier with this yarn!

Love this yarn! I have made light sweaters and baby blankets with it - it is very comfy. Could you please bring back that yummy, sunshine-y yellow color?

Just beginning a sock using Wine Tasting in a slip stitch pattern that flatters the colour changes in the yarn. It seems soft and knits up with nice stitch definition. I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy this and the stroll handpaints I still have in my stash. Shipment was quick to arrive and shipping costs reasonable to Canada. Very happy with my entire shipment and will provide feedback on the rest as I get to them.

For a Tunisian crochet mobius wrap, I bought Stroll Tonal as a substitute for the designer's-choice superwash merino yarn that is more than twice as expensive, and I couldn't be happier. It has a soft and silky hand, and I know it will produce a lovely wrap. KnitPicks always comes through with affordable, yet luxurious, yarns.
