This yarn feels lovely and soft in the ball but I am very disappointed with the Rainforest Heather colour and would not have bought it had I seen it first. It is nothing like described or shown in the picture. It is a very dark green not teal.

I do love the feel of the yarn and it knits up beautifully. HOWEVER, the Rainforest heather that I've just got doesn't look anything like the picture on the website, it is very much darker, a very dark spruce green with black running through it.Not teal.

I LOVE this yarn! I have always been satisfied with it. It is my most favorite of all the yarns!!

I am so, so grateful you have manly colors in your heathered sock yarn. It is so hard to find such colors, yet very soft washable and all purpose. My son has been asking for a fine knit classic cable v-neck sweater and I haven't been able to fine suitable yarn anywhere. Yea! I think the Merlot Heather is going to work great.

Love, love, LOVE this yarn!!! It is soft, durable, and easy to knit. I've made several pairs of socks from it and it's just wonderful. I ordered a couple balls in almost every color so I could start knitting socks for Xmas, and all of the colors are spot on what I expected. Some of my favorites are: - Dogwood Heather: not normally a pink person, but this is beautiful - feminine and subtle - Rainforest Heather: the little flecks of red really give this color a beautiful depth - Sprinkle Heather: as a purple lover, this is definitely my favorite - the multi-color heather is so fun but subtle PS - The tonal and hand painted versions are just as wonderful :)

I absolutely love this yarn, so soft. The colours are amazing. I only wish it came in larger sizes as well so that fewer joins were needed for larger projects.

LOVE THIS YARN! So soft, squishy, and resilient. Far superior to Palette. Please expand the colorways of this yarn! It would also be great if it was available in a heavier weight. I would knit with this all the time. Its great for socks, baby garments, gloves, and hats, but the fingering weight makes sweaters a bear to complete unless you double it up, which is super annoying if you're doing fair isle work.

Love this yarn! It is so soft and enjoyable to knot with and creates a lovely fabric. I got the rainforest heather color and it is gorgeous! I will definitely be buying more of this yarn.

I love this yarn!! I'm knitting a cardigan out of one color, and an infinity scarf out of another color. The only disappointment is that the range of colors keeps dwindling. ADD MORE COLORS!!!!!!

This was my first time to order Stroll sock yarn. While I love how soft this yarn is, the colors shown on the website are a bit misleading. I ordered Rainforest Heather and was expecting it to be an antique teal as shown. What I got was a VERY DARK teal and it didn't look anything like what was shown. Even though I am disappointed, I'm going to keep it.

I love this stuff... I only have one problem. Why did you get rid of stroll sport????? I want to knit sweaters and that would be ideal... I love the colours, the softness, the price and durability.

I love this yarn! I bought it in Sapphire Heather and the blues are so rich! Very soft, also.

I have mixed feelings about this yarn. I've made 3 pairs of socks out of it so far. I really love the colour selection and the way the finished product looks. However, every pair seems to bag out. On each of the three pairs the ribbing has completely stretched out. At first I thought it had something to do with the way I was knitting, blocking, or washing the socks. Then I compared it to some socks that I made out of other sock yarn that have held up just fine and my conclusion is that the problem must be this yarn. It is very disappointing. I'm not sure I'll be using this yarn for socks again.

I am a hopeless Stroll yarn addict. I have so much squirreled away that it could be embarrassing except that I hang out with folks who love yarn as well. Love to knit socks--perfect travel take-along project--and have customized patterns for people on occasion. I keep all the "nuggets" and knit kids' socks with them. Waste not, you know. Two Useful Tips: Include an elastic thread when you Knit your top ribbing. Knit the heels and toes (points of greatest wear) with a reinforcing thread. Serger nylon is ideal and comes in a wide range of colors. Thank you, thank you for making what I consider the best sock yarn on the planet.

As other have said, I love this yarn. I've made several pairs of sock with it for myself and my young granddaughters. A couple of problems though. One baby sock shrunk, not both, just one. The replacement has been fine. The socks are washed in a washer and dried in a dryer. I combined hot pink and white in socks, pink heels and toes. The pink bled onto the white yarn. I had no warning. In fact, the hot pink socks I made the baby did not bleed on anything. Love the yarn, frustrated by the inconsistencies.

I love this yarn! I have made at least a dozen pairs of socks from it, and am also about 1/3 through knitting a cable cardigan with it. It is so soft, works up well, doesn't shed, and looks beautiful when completed. It also washes up well, although I usually don't put my completed projects through the dryer after washing. I generally lay them out to dry. But the times I have, they dried well and didn't pill or felt. My only complaint is that on the second skein I was using for the sweater, when I got toward the end of the skein there were several places that the yarn was broken so much that only part of one strand remained connected. I had to knot the yarn to keep it from falling apart. This put a knot in the middle of a row. I was able to weave in the ends so it doesn't show, but it was an annoyance. I do wish there were more light colors in the Tweed. I would love to have a light yellow and green available. Even in the other Stroll yarns there aren't any clear soft light yellows or greens. I haven't done anything with the Stroll Brights yet, but I do have two skeins of the Highlighter Yellow that I will be making some socks out of in the future. I imagine it will work up as well as the other Stroll yarns I have used. And wouldn't it be lovely if Knit Picks would make a worsted weight Stroll yarn! :D

I absolutely love working with stroll sock yarn, and have now made 5 pair of socks from it, with yarn for another three pair in the queue. Very soft and look great initially. Two things I'm noticing: 1) So far each and every skein has been knotted up when pulling from the inside of the skein -- have to pull out about a quarter of the skein to get started, then another clump time and time again. I haven't had this problem with other brands. 2) After wearing/washing several times, the socks are now getting to be quite fuzzy. Not felting, but fuzzy/pilling. It's a great feel for around-the-house slipper socks, but am concerned about patterns not being as visible long term, particularly for dressier socks I'm planning on making. I've been washing in cold water on delicate cycle and line drying. (I'm also having the fuzziness problem with a pair I made with Knit Picks Capretta.)

I absolutely love this yarn!! It's great for socks, sweaters, accessories, shawls & doll clothes. A couple requests though - PLEASE consider expanding the available color range. It would be fantastic to have more to choose from. Also, why oh why was Stroll Sport ever discontinued?! Please bring it back!

I really don't know why it's taken me so long to try Knit Picks yarn. I've bought needles and other supplies from them before but just never got around to the yarn. Someone recently made me a pair of the glitter socks and I thought I'd check it out finally. The prices are better than I expected. I went ahead and bought 6 colours of the stroll sock, and 1 stroll tonal as well. I cannot tell you how much pleasure I've gotten just from seeing this lush bag of soft, gorgeous-coloured yarn! I got mostly all heather shades and they are just so beautiful. I already know how this works up into socks and I truly cannot wait to use it! Though I might be getting just as much pleasure from enjoying the skeins as I would the socks! I now wish I had the whole colour pallete, and will endeavour to add to my collection as soon as I can. Love it!!

I have been knitting with this yarn for years. One of the favorite things I make is a baby sweater in a solid color and pants in a two-color stripe. I have made numerous pairs of socks with it which I toss in the washer and dryer with like colors. I have never experienced pilling, felting or any other negative results. I love KnitPicks, especially Stroll sock yarn

I am a avid sock knitter I have knit over 200 pair over my many years of knitting. I have tried all kinds of different sock yarn . But if you want a COMFORTABLE stready inexpensive sock yarn stroll is it they are so nice ! I can't stress how comfortable this yarn is and how nice it washes it is definitely my all time favorite!!!

This is fantastic yarn. Nothing like it in the shops here in Canada. I just love the fact that there are no knots in any of their yarn as Knitpick do such a great job of joining and what an array of colors. Once I start a project I have a job putting it down and I am always pleased with the end result. Great Job Knitpicks. I won't buy yarn any where else.

I love this yarn!!! It is wonderful!!!! I use it for socks, scarves and my latest is gloves which my friends adore and ask for more all the time. There is no better yarn anywhere, and you never have to worry about knots as the wool is joined in such a way that you can hardly notice when they appear. Keep up the great work...... SusanS

I purchased this yarn for sock knitting. I love how soft the yarn is and the ease of knitting with it is great. The assortment of colors is wonderful. I recommend this yarn.

I absolutely adore this yarn. I've designed a lot of patterns with it, and thanks to the color choices it's basically my go to sock yarn. My only complaint? More colors!!!! Then I could use it for more patterns. Thanks!

Like Ashley, I knit a sweater using Navy Stroll and it felted in the wash. Although my money was promptly refunded, the frustration over hours of knitting on size #0 and #2 needles hasn't gone away. I will try Stroll again, but will wash my swatch before starting the project. I have knIt numerous other projects including sweaters with no problems. Now I am afraid.

I have been knitting with this sock yarn for about 9 years. I still have my first pair and wear them a lot seeing as I live in Wisconsin. I must have made about 300 pairs so far. I knit them for a friend who was recovering from colon cancer, a sister who had foot surgery, my children, grandchildren, and some charitable organizations. I was even talked into taking them to craft fairs. I think it is the best sock yarn out there as it is soft, washable, dryable and long lasting. I'm so glad that I was introduced to Knit Picks as a yarn supplier.

I had very high expectations for this yarn, but sadly I'm not very satisfied with it. This yarn is way too fuzzy and pills a lot. I'm currently working on a pair and socks and already they are fuzzing terribly! This yarn also knits up a flopping and poorly structured sock. However this yarn is super soft to the touch, possibly too soft for its own good.

I knit a cardigan out of Dogwood Heather, which is a beautiful fresh pink color. The yarn was great to work with and soft after being soaked and blocked, but the sweater felted the first time I washed it in the machine! I followed the laundry instructions, so I'm very disappointed by this. I like Stroll and will continue to purchase it, but it will never go near the washing machine again.

I'm an avid sock knitter and decided to try out the Stroll for several pairs of opt art socks. I'm so glad I did!! The socks are soft and doing well after several washes. I don't think I can go back to other sock yarns now.

I made a pair of running tights in Sapphire Heather and they're soft, warm, and beautiful - this yarn holds up well to wear and laundering. Merino performs better than cotton along every dimension for athletic wear, and this is a great yarn at a great price.

I love this yarn! That said, I just received a shipment with some navy blue... and this really is more like a black with green flecks on it. So, I'm leaving the excellent rating, because I've been using the yarn for years, but if anyone at KP reads these posts, please check on your navy blue.

I've been weaving with this yarn and it works up into the most gorgeous light-weight scarves. I love it and wish I could get about 4 balls of every color just to have on hand.

I absolutely love this yarn. I usually knit socks out of it but I decided to make a dreambird shawl out of it and I am so glad that I did. The colors are vibrant and rich and the finished product is soft and drapes so beautifully. Highly recommend this yarn for anything from head to toe, great yarn!

The socks made from this yarn are fuzzing and pilling; the socks have been washed (inside out and following label instructions) and worn three times. The socks stretch out too much when worn--this may be due to not enough negative ease when knitted. After washing, the socks will fit again. I still like the yarn. Will KnitPicks provide an online chart for the suggested negative ease for knitting socks for the different sock yarns?

Great yarn! I bought two balls two years ago, or so, and made a pair of socks with it: socks are holding up great, even with being washed in the laundry (regular cycle, with all the rest of the clothes--inside out, of course). Sadly, I lost one of the socks (it is a horrible, and frustrating mystery), but having enough yarn left made just one more to match the first. I am so glad I did, and now these socks are my favorites once again. I inspect the soles and heels regularly for wear, but once washed they appear just as hale and hearty as ever! I love how I can wear them all day and they still feel and look lovely at the end of the day. I will definitely purchase more of this yarn! Now I have my eye on some of the Stroll Tonal...more yardage and fantastic colors!

I LOVE this yarn its soft, it works up wonderfully and is soo much nicer than any yarn that I've found in any store and best of all it's washable!

Very soft and very beautiful, without too much fuzz. Wonderful hand and great stitch definition. Doesn't split easily. I could have a whole craft room full of just this yarn!

I knit tiny clothes--Barbie-doll size--and I love this yarn for my projects. It has a lot of spring to it, it washes well, and it's just so soft! Also, it doesn't seem to attract moths or other yarn-loving insects, which is a huge plus. I love it--if I get back into knitting socks this will be me for sure go-to yarn. Yay!

My rating is average--the rating box did not accept it! Hmmmm. My critique: i used stroll sock yarn in brown. It does not have enough "memory" for socks (compared to Debra Norville), and worst of all it pills terribly. Disappointed.

I've been using this yarn for years, for gloves as well as socks, scarves, cowls, hats and sweaters. I love it for the crisp stitch definition, the feel in my hand, how soft it is, and how well it wears. And when I have a chance to buy it buy the bag, I don't hesitate!
