Content: 100% Peruvian Highland Wool
Weight: Heavy Worsted Weight
Gauge: 4 - 4.5 sts = 1" on #7 - 9 needles (4.5mm-5.5mm)
Amount: 82 yards/50 gram ball
Care: Hand Wash/Dry Flat
Shamrock is our salute to the Emerald Isle. It has three plies of solid color and one hand-dyed ply. The result is a colorfully flecked fabric reminiscent of classic tweed. The warmth and durability of this wool make it ideal for traditional pullovers, jackets and hats. Recommended for felting.
Note: Since one strand of Shamrock is hand-dyed, this yarn has the potential for pooling. Pooling can be a design feature, but if you do not want it to happen, alternate between different balls of yarn every few rows.
The balls are marked with the hand-dyed dye lot. Several hand-dyed dye lots are included in one solid dye lot for the other three plies. Therefore, the dye lot number indicates that both the hand-dyed and solid color are identical for all balls in that dye lot.
