Ridiculously squishy and soft, it's Preciosa. This incredibly luxurious single-ply Merino yarn is now available in a range of tonal jewel-like colors ready to create the softest, coziest sweaters, cowls, hats or blankets you've ever felt. Preciosa is a single ply yarn that has subtle differences in thickness that gives a handspun look to your finished projects. The fingering weight is perfect for quick projects or fine-gauge garments.

Just arrived, could not wait to ball up and use with Carnival chroma for DFW pattern from Ravelry. Both colors and textures of yarns are working beautifully together. Price was right too (goldfidh works harmoniously and almost identical to competitors "$30/skein Copper Pennies"). Love it...will make a super xmas gift at a super price. Thanks Knit Picks. My heart goes out to you on the loss of Bob. We lost our patriarch cat Blue on July 5. Only time resolves some of the pain of loss.

I am working on my first project using this yarn and I love it. It is very soft and has such lovely colors. The subtle color variations are so pretty and it almost glows. It works up beautifully and I have had very little splitting. I am going to purchase some in Worsted weight to make a hat, mittens and scarf for my daughter who just moved to Idaho from Florida. I am sure she can use them this winter with the huge change in weather. ;)

Just wound 9 skeins of fingering Preciosa into balls and it's so beautiful! No breakage at all, no knots and the hand is wonderful! It's a bit shiny in the skein but blooms a little when knitting. It splits a teeny bit so you have to pay attention but it's working up very nicely in a Herringbone throw pattern in fingering weight Pokeberry and Bare. I'm using two-tone Preciosa in Pokeberry because I think it will show a sense of movement, not as "flat" as a solid color would in avHerringbone. The knitted fabric feels thicker than fingering weight yarn. And I would highly recommend Preciosa for garments but I would lean to fingering more than worsted. It's beautiful! You can't go wrong with Preciosa.

This has become my go-to fingering weight yarn for almost any project. It is super soft and squishy while still being sturdy and lightweight. I love the gorgeous colors, too. Please make more!

Love how soft and pretty this is. Also love the tonal colourways. However, I ordered the anemone and while it looks like a gorgeous coral online, the actual yarn was quite a bit more vibrant in person, a very bright pink. The boysenberry that I also ordered was exactly as shown online.

This yarn is incredible. I started a pair of socks in the Goldfish colorway and I'm blown away. It knits up beautifully, so well that it almost looks like it's already been blocked while still on the needles! I'm probably going to be buying this yarn in just about every color. I love it.
