Hawthorne Fingering Multi Yarn

$10.99 100g / Hank

A reflection of the great Northwest, Hawthorne is a yarn inspired by the varied and vibrant place we call home. Each colorway shows off hand painted hues and surprising pops of color that are as distinctive and exceptional as their namesake neighborhoods. With a high twist for durability, this fingering weight yarn is wonderfully sturdy and unquestionably colorful.

Please note: Hawthorne is a hand painted yarn and colors may vary from skein to skein.

Instant buyer's regret. I ordered a skein of "Arbor Lodge" a pink and grey multi colored yarn. Only one-fifth of it is pink. As it's going into a lap blanket, I anticipate only one color change per row. What I need is several color changes. The colors themselves are fine but what's the point?

I love this yarn and have ordered multiple colors for socks. As they say, it is hand dyed so watch the color variation from skein to skein. I recently ordered some to make a sweater. I needed 4 skeins for the sweater. It arrived - all 4 skeins from the same dye lot. I did not check the yarn closely to see if the colors were all the same. After getting part way into the sweater I discovered that two of the skeins had much brighter colors than the other two. My sweater now has one sleeve and the bands on the sleeves and lower edge and front the brighter color. As the brighter sleeve is the left one, my husband suggested that I drive with my arm out the window and hopefully it would fade. Thank you dear ! I am hoping that the color will even out after washing. I showed it to my knitting friends and they couldn't tell there was a problem until I pointed it out to them. Still love the yarn but don't know if I would try it for a larger project again.

i love this yarn! this is the first fingering weight yarn that i've really used and i've made 2 large shawls with it so far. i love the way both of them have turned out so much! the colors are so beautiful and they knit up so well. just looking at them makes me smile!

I didn't knit this yarn personally as a friend made them up for me but omg are socks in this yarn luxurious! I love them so much and can see them being worn to death

I absolutely love the colors of this yarn. The hand-dyed aspect makes me feel like an artist when knitting with it!

I bought 2 hanks of this not really knowing what my project would be. I made a 2nd pineapple shawl in Mt. Tabor and I was very pleased with the outcome. The colors were beautiful, felt great and the shawl is beautiful. I ordered another hank to make it bigger. I love everything about this yarn.

5 out of 5 stars

I tried this yarn on a whim and am so very glad I did. I purchased the St. John color to make a shawl for a dear friend and it is gorgeous. The yarn is soft and crisp, no splitting or pilling and works up beautifully. I am coming back for more colors, so beautiful...its hard to choose!!!

1 out of 5 stars

Actual yarn quality ok but the colours for 50% of the skeins that I bought were not even close to the colours on screen, were missing the "pop" colour or the dye job was rather murky. I realise that monitors all show colour differently but was rather disappointed.

4 out of 5 stars

I made socks out of the first Hawthorne yarn I purchased, and I am happy to report that I really do like the yarn, although I had doubts at first. The socks get softer every time they are washed and the colors are like no other. Beautiful. I'm glad to see that you have added so many more colors than you first had. Bravo!

5 out of 5 stars

WOW!! this yarn is amazing! the pictures can't begin glass do justice to the beautiful colors and the yarn is so wonderful to knit with. I am totally in love and wish I didn't have so much other sock yarn so that I could do everything in this wonderful yarn. they should send a snippet of this yarn to all customers so that they can be hooked too!!

5 out of 5 stars

I am very impressed with this yarn. The colours are gorgeous, the fabric it makes is durable but soft, and the level of twist is exactly what I look for in a sock yarn. I had no issues with the yardage. I will definitely continue purchasing this yarn.

5 out of 5 stars

Absolutely love this yarn! I've used 3 different colorways for some projects and I couldn't be happier with the results! I will definitely be ordering more.

I made a baby shawl for my newborn, it is so very soft and lovely, and the stitch definition is fantastic! Knitting with it was very pleasing as well.

4 out of 5 stars

I know with handpaints you can't expect it to be just like the photo, but I do think it's reasonable to expect it to at least be a variation of the same color combination. I got a skein of Mt. Tabor that is basically a tonal teal. Very disappointed. Still gets a good rating, because I've also gotten The Pearl, Sauvie Island, and Alameda that were pretty spot on. Maybe that's why I was so disappointed by how far off base Mt. Tabor was.

I purchased one skein of this yarn a year ago. I knit a pair of socks with it. It is heavier that my usual sock yarn so instead of using a size 1 needle and my standard 74 stitches around - I use a size 2 needle for this yarn and knit 66 stitches around. I am a tight knitter and wear a size 10 shoe. It works up beautifully. It is a tightly spun yarn and at first glance would appear to be rather rough, but it washes up beautifully - machine wash cold, line dry - and softens and develops a "halo" after several washings. Because it is heavier it knits up faster - making the numerous gift socks that I make an easier job. I have had no trouble with the skeins being hard to wind - wound with great ease. I ordered two more skeins and am planning on getting more from the current sale. Very nice yarn.

I have just finished knitting two projects with my first order of Hawthorne. The yarn was wonderful to work with. It felt good to knit with and had terrific stitch definition. One project I knit was a Hitchhiker Shawl in the Parkrose colorway. The color shown on the website does not do this colorway justice. It positively glows in pink and fuschia and orange. I purchased the yarn to make a gift - I am not a pink person - but now I am craving to make myself something in Parkrose pink. It's just gorgeous. The other colorway I purchased was Sellwood and I can't wait to knit something with it. I recommend this yarn highly.

Seriously. These colours. They are amazing. Period. I haven't yet knit with it yet, but the skeins feel much softer than I thought they would be.

I just ordered 8 skeins of this yarn even though I have never tried it before, I read other ratings and thought "what the heck" since it's on sale, my order came in today and I am so pleased! I don't know why I never bought this yarn sooner! The colors are amazingly bright and so beautiful, and for the thick twist it gave me no trouble hand winding these skeins into cakes, ( actually I'm really enjoying it!) The yarn is wonderfully soft and I cannot wait to begin knitting! I will be ordering more of this yarn very soon! Amazing yarn, thank you Knitpicks!

I am addicted to the Hawthorne Fingering yarns...all of the colors I've purchased thus far I have been more than happy with. I am making sweaters, socks, hats, shawls, cowls...you name it I'll find a way to use Hawthorne to make it!

5 out of 5 stars

I adore this yarn! I have size 11 feet and am still able to knit a pair of socks with one skein and I prefer longer legs (6-8"). I haven't had a problem at all with winding, yardage or rough feel. I am extremely happy with the price. I pay $26 per skein at another favorite hand dyer who is known for sock yarn. Knit picks has a comparable product here. I will always be back for more!

4 out of 5 stars

I like this yarn. It is soft like all Knit Picks yarn, but it has a crisp feel to it. It doesn't spit-splice very well. However, I have problems with color. I got Belmont, and I ended up with two dye lots (bought at different times) to make a stole. When I look at the four skeins, in my opinion, they are FOUR dye lots, not two. One skein is much darker than all the others, one skein is lighter and has almost no rose (it is almost all lavender), and another is light and has colors (tan, mostly) not in any of the others. I have never dyed yarn, but even I could do a better job of keeping the colors consistent. This wouldn't be a problem with a project that uses only one skein, but for anything bigger, it's a BIG problem. I am going to have to rip out one skein's worth of work and then try to figure out how to blend the skeins two at a time so as to keep the fabric as consistent as possible. Not fun. This is a quality problem, and I have had quality problems with another Knit Picks yarn lately, too. I am very disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars

I am knitting my second pair of socks with this yarn. I love it but there are some things to be aware of... it is stiffer to knit than Merino but washes up nicely. I have larger feet (11) and like my socks tall, so I need a little more than one skein for a pair of socks. Check the yardage.

5 out of 5 stars

Made "Hitchhiker" scarf with Montavilla and it is stunning. Have received many complements on the colorway of the yarn. Happily, I have 2 other colorways in my stash!

5 out of 5 stars

I love this yarn! I knitted a sweater with it that has worn well. I have many more hanks for socks, but wish I had more of a single color for another sweater. The sweater, in Irvington, is one of my favorites knitted in the last year!

5 out of 5 stars

I love this yarn! It isn't splitty, knits beautifully and evenly and the fabric feels both firm and springy. It softens up nicely with a wash. I started off with two skeins when it first came out and liked it so much that bought just about all of the colorways of the fingering yarn that were on sale last fall. I am working on my third pair of socks and plan more socks and some hats that won't be overly hot or itchy. Colors are gorgeous and interesting. I wound the skeins using an old wooden twist and an old ball winder with no trouble whatsoever. It knits up on size 1 needles at 8 st and 12 rounds to the inch for me. A 64st sock fits me perfectly (size 10 feet) and I have no trouble getting a pair out of a single skein.

4 out of 5 stars

Just got a hank of the Hazelwood, the violet is actually more of a hot pink. I highly doubt the swatch displayed will match the finished project, but they will still knit up into a gloriously spring themed pair of socks!

5 out of 5 stars

It is a joy to work with this yarn! I just completed my first sock using Hawthorne in color The Pearl. Very pretty and perfect with jeans. I used size 3.00mm needles but anything from a US 1 to 3 would be fine. I used my Amish yarn swift and Boyce electric yarn ball winder without any problems. I'm ordering more of this beautiful, reasonable yarn.

5 out of 5 stars

I just got a skien each of HAPPY VALLEY AND FREMONT! They are absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to start socks. I can yell already that I am going g to want to use all the colors in the different weights. Nice job!

5 out of 5 stars

I'm about halfway through a shawl made from two skeins of St. Johns and one of the ladies in my knitting group asked if it was the (much more expensive) Malabrigo. I love the very subtle colour shifts. I have several other colours in my stash and the new update today with new colours plus the kettle dyed line is calling my name.

5 out of 5 stars

I love this yarn, it is not hard to wind by hand, I hang mine up on a clothes hanger, no knots, no tangles, no problems! It may feel stiff in the hand but it's just because of the tight twist. I have almost every color and use it all of the time, mostly in stranded color work. I have bought yarn that costs three times this much that are not nearly as nice. The colors are amazing and surprising, it's fun to manipulate the look by changing your gauge or wind into separate balls starting at different spots, Ladd's addition is really great for that! I can't wait to try all of the new colors!

5 out of 5 stars

Had no problem winding the yarn into a ball. The yarn is more dense and a slightly harder to knit with but after washing the socks became very soft to the touch with a nice drape. Glad I bought 10 skeins of this when it was on sale!!!

2 out of 5 stars

I bought this yarn when it was on sale for $5. I'm glad that I didn't pay more for it. The colour was lovely but I didn't enjoy knitting with it because it had too much twist. It isn't very soft either. I only bought one skein and (foolishly) made a top-down sock. After noting that the yardage was low for a pair of socks, I should have made a toe-up sock so that I could just stop knitting the cuff whenever I used half the yarn. I made a size 7 women's sock and it used 54 g. of the 100 g. skein. So I undid the sock.

4 out of 5 stars

I just started a project with Hawthorne and it's been absolutely lovely to work with. I'm thrilled with the color and yarn overall. Like other reviews, it was a total bear to wind though. I found quite a few knots and the yarn kept twisting from inside the loop to outside, making it nearly impossible to use a ball winder. It must have taken me 2 hours to wind one skein. Luckily the yarn is beautiful and was worth the effort. I'm dreading winding the second skein...

5 out of 5 stars

This is wonderful yarn at an exceptional price. I have made 4 pair of socks sizes 9 and 10. There is ample left over. 3 skeins will make 4 pair. Not sure how some are not able to complete one pair on one skein. I have knitted for repeat customers and a shop at the Oregon Coast for 8 or 9 years. I cast 48 stitches on size 1 needles. More than 48 stitches would have the socks pool around the ankle. Then I knit a 7 inch leg including the top ribbing before starting the heel.

5 out of 5 stars

I love Hawthorne yarn...it's what others have said: deep, satisfying, saturated colors (I've used Ladd's Addition and Pearl), and a slight toothy feel. It's not soft, but sturdy and tight. I like it that way Mitts out of L.A. draws compliments! My one issue with the deep blue in Pearl is the (warning!) staining! My fingers are blue after a knitting session. Maybe after I wash the hat, it will calm down. I still, however, give this 5 stars.

5 out of 5 stars

This yarn is knitting up well for socks, but I'm really loving it for woven scarves. The scarves look beautiful with the colors in the skeins and drape well at 10 epi.

5 out of 5 stars

Gorgeous colors! I made two sweaters with it - the fabric is gorgeous and keeps getting softer with every wash.

4 out of 5 stars

I ordered Laurelhurst, which appears more turquoise and aqua, rather than green, on my monitor. It's lovely, but not what I was looking for. I'm giving it to a friend who I believe will appreciate the greener color.

5 out of 5 stars

This yarn is gorgeous, soft, and a pleasure to work with. Winding it was easy and it just flowed through my fingers as I worked with it. The gloves I made are a gift for someone, but I'm looking forward to making something for myself with this yarn. I have several more skeins headed my way.

5 out of 5 stars

Love it! Beautiful colors and very soft.

5 out of 5 stars

I ordered two skeins to start. Both very easy to unwind. The colors are deep and rich. The yarn is easy to knit with and soft in my hands. It's also very resilient. I love it and have just picked out 6 more colors I want!

4 out of 5 stars

I have been looking at this yarn a long time and finally ordered 1 skein. I received it yesterday and had to wind it immediately. I had no trouble winding it, unlike some other reviewers. Maybe they fixed the problem on the newer shipments. I ordered Sauvie Island. The colors are not like they appeared on the website. It says it is hand dyed so each skein is different. On the site, it showed greens, browns and orange/yellow. My skein appeared to just have shades of green and the orange/yellow - not necessarily a bad thing - just different than pictured. I immediately cast on and started a pair of socks. The yarn had a tighter twist that many sock yarns which makes the yarn denser - hence getting just 357 yards in 100 grams. Again, not necessarily a bad thing - just different. Others complained about it being hard on their hands - it is a hard dense yarn - again not necessarily bad. I hope it will soften when washed. I have several inches of the toe of the sock done and it is working up beautifully, not pooling at all. I will wait to see how the socks feel when worn before I order more. All in all, a beautiful yarn.

I recently purchased Hawthorne in the colour Happy Valley. On the skein it was gorgeous, and was just as beautiful once wound in a ball. I did have a small "snag"; while winding where there seemed to be a knot, but was able to sort it out in no time. To my surprise it wasn't as soft as I thought it might be, and was a bit hard on the fingers. I made a vintage vogue hat with it and it turned out beautifully. Hopefully it'll wash up softer.

5 out of 5 stars

I order one of this hanks; but when I received it I had to order a second hank it is so beautiful. No complaints here. Rose City is my favorite. Thanks Knitpicks. Fast shipping too!

5 out of 5 stars

I had 10g of yarn leftover from making Cookie A's Monkey socks in a ladies size 8. So all those worried about running out of yardage on your socks: you should be fine unless you're knitting socks for a Sasquatch. ;-) This is one of those yarns that looks completely different in the hank vs. caked vs. knit up. I'm really happy with the look of the finished product.

3 out of 5 stars

The colours of the yarns are AWESOME. I've knitted with Alameda, The Pearl, Mt. Tabor, and they're all gorgeous. I have Irvington but in the hank I have their isn't a very variegated nature to it, it's all one shade of blue. I love Alameda in hexipuffs because it looks spacey. But the reason for the low rating, IT IS A COMPLETE PAIN TO WIND. I don't have a swift but I have wound their Stroll lines with no problem, but when I use my system to wind Hawthorne, I find the yarn twists around the hank from the outside of the hank to the inside. Also the fibres catch on each other and the hank will flop about when winding it and tangles like no tomorrow. It always takes over an hour maybe even two to wind it. I've wound five hanks of the stuff since it's been released, and I can only wind one a day because it's so exhausting and my patience couldn't handle the tangles. I'm making a new knitting rule, that if someone wants something knitted in this yarn brand, they have to wind it. It's seriously THAT BAD. Beautiful yarn, but because it is such a pain to wind, I will be very cautious buying it from now on, but I probably won't since I now have the yardage to finish my project. Also short yardage, SUCKS.

5 out of 5 stars

I love this yarn! The colors are vibrant and exactly as shown. The yarn very sturdy yet soft. Others noted that they had problems with winding the skein, but the yarn was perfect on the skein I received. I have several other projects planned for this gorgeous yarn.

5 out of 5 stars

Ive been waiting for months for this yarn to come back in stock to try it. Finally I got 3 hanks, it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! FEELS AMAZING!!! The colors are just gorgeous. Shipping was super fast, I'm ordering more before its gone again, I cant believe yarn this beautiful is so inexpensive, Thanks KnitPicks!!

5 out of 5 stars

I love this yarn and I was just a small amount short for the shawl I was working on. It was on backorder waiting till Aug. I asked to be notified when it came in. Didn't happen and now it says its on sale. Still I I love this yarn.

5 out of 5 stars

I can not say enough about this yarn....LOVE IT! It is soft, a pleasure to work with, beyond vibrant, and I can not wait for more stock to come in!

3 out of 5 stars

I love the colors but most were unavailable when I wanted to purchase. Certainly the colors are gorgeous. However, my skein of Goose Hollow was impossible to wind from the swift. I had an inkling that something was not right when I saw the tangled mess on one section. Almost sent it back. After hours of painstaking de-tangling and winding, I started knitting and the wool was soft and squishy and colors did not pool. There were a couple of uneven nubs. This is a lovely yarn at a price well below similar hand-dyed yarns. However, there needs to be more careful skeining at the manufacturer's end. I thought I got an errant skein but it seems from the reviews I am not alone. I've wound hundred of balls and the only problem I've had before was with Araucania which I've never used again. Given the lovely colors and feel of this yarn, I may give it another try.

3 out of 5 stars

I ordered four skeins of this yarn hoping to make several pairs of socks. the yarn doesn't go very far and I barely made a pair of socks from each skein. Will mix and match the leftovers to eek out another pair. I will not buy this yarn again because it is very hard on the fingers. It's not as soft as the other sock yarns Knit Picks sells. I will stick to the old and tried of which there are plenty of color choices.

2 out of 5 stars

The colors are gorgeous but my Goose Hollow was seriously tangled and required 2 hours of laborious unwinding. I could not use my swift and ball winder. I've wound hundreds of skeins of yarn over the years and the only other brand with this problem was Araucania, which I have never used again. I may give this another try in another color way because is is beautiful and soft.

5 out of 5 stars

I am in love with this beautiful yarn! The colors are absolutely gorgeous. This is yarn is even more beautiful and luxurious in person. I can't wait to order more! Well done knitpicks simply breathtaking!

5 out of 5 stars

I am a sock-yarn connoisseur and IMO this yarn ranks right up there with popular hand-dyed brands like KPPPM but at half the price. I made a pair of womens' size 8 socks and used up most of the skein, so those knitting larger sizes beware. The fabric is thick and spongy, and I think the socks will wear well. I'm definitely buying more!

5 out of 5 stars

This yarn makes a serious impact on your eyes - it was gorgeous when I received it. I ordered Ladd's Addition, Eastbank, and Laurelhurst. I did not have the same problems with knots or tangles that some of the other reviewers had - I spent a few hours carefully winding it into a center pull ball, and thus got to admire it further. My first project with it has been some fingerless wrist warmers in the Eastbank, and I've been satisfied with the yarn knitting up nicely. I just can't wait for more of the colorways to become available again - I want to stock up on this yarn, it is simply stunning.

5 out of 5 stars

I ordered two skeins each of Ladd's Addition, and Sunnyside. I am very pleased with the colour being true to what is shown on the site. I will absolutely order more. The Sunnyside is knitting up beautifully with no snags, knots or other problems. I've substituted it for a much more expensive yarn in a Botanical Garden Shawl pattern from Ravelry. How it lives up to my usual criteria: Colour: The colours are true to what was shown on the site and are lovely and modern. The two skeins of Sunnyside are consistent with each other, have a lovely tonal shift which looks great across a long knit piece, and won't be distracting for an easy lace. While they show the same lot #, the two skeins of Ladd's Addition differ greatly, with light touches of pink/coral in one, and much larger swaths in the other, but the purple tones are similar, so they do match. These are definitely hand dyed, but it will limit project options. Softness: The Hawthorne is soft and pleasing, but quite not as soft and luxurious as my favourite merino/nylon blend from Indigodragonfly. Value: The Hawthorne Fingering comes in around 1/3 to 1/2 the price of my favourite Merino/Nylon blend, so it will be a frequent purchase, especially for gifts on a budget or large projects. It's a great value.

4 out of 5 stars

Buyer Beware! Although this is a lovely new yarn, one skein is just 357 yds., and not enough yarn for 2 socks. :(. I love the colors and bought 4, but the first she in only got me to 2" down the second foot. I have been a real fan of all KnitPicks sock yarns, and do hope that the co. will add yardage to this new line soon.

5 out of 5 stars

I am using Hawthorne Fingering Mt Tabor and I love this yarn. It knits up very nice and does not split. I really think this is going to be my favorite sock yarn. Thank you Knit Picks for a yarn this sock knitter can be proud of. Excellent rating all the way.

4 out of 5 stars

I have gotten 2 hanks of the new Hawthorne yarn and one of them (Belmont). wound into a ball nicely, but the other one, (Goose Hollow), gave me fits getting it wound into a ball. It tangled very badly, and it took me a couple of hours to get it to wind correctly and undoing all the knots and "out of place loops." This is nothing compared to the problem my sister, Alice Anderson, had with the Rose City yarn. It tangled hopelessly for her to the point that she began to cut it to remove the knots and tangles. It is now in a zip-lock bag and for now she has put it aside as hopeless. Please advise. Never in our 30 some years of knitting have we either one had this problem.

5 out of 5 stars

GORGEOUS yarn. The pictures do not do it justice. When I opened my box and saw it, I gasped. And it is an absolutely joy to work with. Great job on this one! Fabulous.

4 out of 5 stars

I purchased five different colors and three of the five were tangled. Never have had this problem before Hawthorne. But, the colors are so very nice and the texture of the yarn will be fun. Am making yoga socks for my daughter in Portland. How fitting! She likes the Pearl district and the Pearl color scheme.

5 out of 5 stars

Just my opinion but Hawthorne is simply gorgeous. I've rarely touched hand painted before because they just, well, never looked very interesting. But Hawthorne is different. It's a nice blend of calm colors that work together with a splash color that makes you just love it when you see it. All that to say I love this new yarn :) And sincerely hope it's around for a long while. Kudos on a lovely new yarn kp.

5 out of 5 stars

This yarn seems amazing although I have not started knitting with it yet. I love the colors! I have been waiting for years for KP to make beautiful hand painted yarns for affordable prices. Please make this yarn in worsted!

5 out of 5 stars

I haven't actually knit with this yet, (although, wow!! it looks fantastic) just wanted to suggest to anyone who finds it less appealing than other sock yarns from KP due to the yardage, that it IS actually the standard 100 grams, and therefore the "same." Maybe a whisker heavier, perhaps, but you'll still get two socks from a skein, albeit, a little shorter.

5 out of 5 stars

Overall an excellent yarn. I just received 6 skeins and wound them all into balls, not a single snarel. I love the slight gloss to the yarn and love the tight twist. Only drawback is the shortish yardage, but with a more tightly spun yarn that's unavoidable. Also absolutely love the colorways, could have been made for me. I do love deep, strongly saturated color though.

3 out of 5 stars

I was really excited to order this yarn and am making a lightweight crocheted sweater with it, with the "Sauvie island" variation. I have found several abnormalities in the two skeins that I have made balls out of so far (out of the eight ordered), odd thicknesses and matting in the yarn that I've needed to cut out.. It is absolutely beautiful, hand-dyed yarn. However, if you are making socks, bear this in mind (especially if you're going to need multiple hanks) - there is so much difference in coloration between hanks, even from the same dye lot. Over half of the hanks I ordered do have purple and blue hues in them, with very vibrant orange, but the others don't have blue or purple in them at all - just greens/browns/oranges and they're paler. The labels all claim they're from the same dye lot. Not sure how that's going to look in my sweater but we'll see.... Can't really say that this makes me want to order more of this yarn, but we'll see in the future once I'm finished with my project.

5 out of 5 stars

This yarn looks like pearl cotton (if you crochet, you are familiar with it.) But it's wool and nylon. The finish has a sheen and the has enough twist that it makes a slightly unbalanced stitch; the right leg in stockinette is more prominent than the left leg. It's a pleasing texture. The color changes are reminiscent of Stroll Tonal; some colors (Belmont, for example or Nob Hill) are more monotonal than others that have a wider range of hues. It's a bit like Gloss crossed with Tonal and it's a very nice yarn for socks or shawls.

4 out of 5 stars

This yarn is beautiful and soft. I didn't buy it for socks but to make a spring/summer weight scarf. I am very disappointed in how the yarn arrived. The hank was so tangled it took over six hours to get the yarn into a ball so I could use it. I don't know if this was an issue with this one hank or if it's a problem with the yarn. I won't buy it again for this reason. If you don't mind that one issue, it's a lovely yarn.

5 out of 5 stars

The yarn looks lovely, the colours intriguing - but the yardage is so much less than I am used to in Knit Picks sock yarn. I don't even consider purchasing sock yarns in less than 400 yard quantities and would need three to make two pairs - sigh!

5 out of 5 stars

This new yarn looks stunning! I am very excited! I want to congratulate you and say thank you that you added this yarn to your line. Great job, Knit Picks! I have not ordered this yet but I cannot wait. From the looks of it and judging by the quality of your other yarns, this will be my top choice to go to!
