Working on a dress with the color gem- it is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful to work with and a deep rich color.

I bought enough Galileo to make 2 sweaters, and have started on both of them. I've finished the back of one sweater and just knit one ball of the other. It is a nice yarn but THE YARN HAS NO LUSTER AT ALL, just a nice soft, dull yarn. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED. I guess I'll just knit them up and consider it an expensive lesson.

I love working with Bamboo and thought that I would give Galileo firefly a try. I bought enough to make a woman's XL top. The fell and flow of the finished product was excellent. Although I am allergic to a high percentage of wool, the Merino in this combo did not affect me. I am ordering more for a pair of pants.

I truly love this yarn. The colors are gorgeous, has a lovely, subtle sheen, and it is so soft, while still being strong. I have crocheted for many years, and did some test swatches... lovely. But I started learning to knit with this yarn... and I had to frog some rows *many* times and tink, as well. The yarn held up to this abuse surprisingly well. AND is still soft and maintained its structure. While I have a couple other colors I could use (and will) I am waiting for a color to come in so I can keep going with my "test-turned-into-real" piece, a testament to this yarn.

No doubt, this is a lovely fiber combination.!! Very soft to work with and has nice stitch definition for crocheting. The only minus to this fiber is there isn't enough color variation. Some bright and some pastel tones would be a lovely addition to this line.

This yarn is awesome! I think the price is what also makes this appealing. Very good bang for the buck. I wish the orange would come back and other colors as well.

I purchased two balls of Luster and one ball of Firefly. I'd read other reviews, so I was expecting the colors to be darker than what I'd seen on the screen and took that into consideration when ordering. The color Luster is much deeper than the image provided, it's more like a deep forest or moss color. From afar it looks black, but closer up you get all those lovely green notes. It was exactly what I was going for. I was surprised when Firefly came in because it is almost the same color on my screen. It's a gorgeous color and looks great against the Luster. I'm making a shawlette from a pattern on Ravelry called Seven and Zero. I'm using the lighter color in a few sections and it's looking great. The yarn itself is so soft. I can't stop petting it. It's actually slowing me down it's so soft because I keep wanting to put my knitting on my face. I'm in love with the way this yarn feels. While I knit it, the twist on this yarn is tight enough that you still get some of that texture in the actual stitches (which is awesome), and it feels really sturdy. The sheen from the yarn is just lovely. I'm hoping that with wear the stitches won't lose that pretty shine to them, but we'll see how it goes. Take heed potential buyers: this yarn is addictive. Choose your colors well because they are much darker in person. However, the balls I received have been so wonderful to use. I'm already wishing I had ordered more last month when they were on sale. I will be purchasing more.

Would have given 5 stars but the color - Valentine - was WAAAY off. I get that it's virtually impossible to get accurate color on a computer, but this didn't even come close to the description - so off that I thought it had been mislabeled and was actually Quartz. This is NOT a bright, pretty valentine red, but a very deep dark burgundy - okay, maybe a cabernet. However, that being said, the yarn is yummy and soft and squishy with just the right amount of shine and I will definitely buy again. Just wish the descriptions fit better!

I've received two orders now and the delivery to Australia was prompt and the quality of yarn is excellent. Thank you so much for your service. I have not doubt that I will be ordering more yarn very soon!

I agree with Erin who would like more colors. I prefer brighter, clear shades instead of the dark and grayed colors. I'll order in a minute if you bring some Spring types of hues!

Oh my gosh this yarn is so shiny! I ordered comfrey and gosling and they go beautifully together! My only complaint is that the photos on the web are much brighter than the colors in person - I was hoping that comfrey was more of a spring color, but it's more of a winter.

I made the most beautiful lace and cables scarf with Nebula. Would love to try another color!

There are no colours for me -- I would like to try this yarn but there are only cool colours, with blue undertones, for winter/summer people. The only colour I could possibly wear is black (and I have enough black!) Please get some warm tones. Thanks

I knit almost constantly, and sometimes you forget why you do it. Galileo reminds me why I love it. The yarn is as soft as it is beautiful. The shine shows off even the simplest of knit-purl patterns and glides wonderfully between the fingers. Thanks for another great yarn!

I used one strand of the Quartz with one strand of Cranberry Aloft and the Aloft gave it an occasional subtle hint of color. I loved working with them both. No problems making a cropped sweater for my niece.

Can't wait to use this yarn! So pretty and so soft with a lovely sheen. I would definitely heed the warning about the yarn being MUCH darker than expected. I took this into account when I ordered Gem for a sweater. I wanted a dark color but not too dark. The actual color of Gem seems to be the same as the color of the Knit Picks Princess Pullover pattern, if that helps anyone distinguish between how dark these yarns are compared to the picture.

I love knitting this stuff, it is so soft and knits up beautifully into a soft shiny piece.

The colour is not at all like in the picture. I chose Argent which looks almost silver in the picture but in person it was dark grey. So disappointed with the colour but it the yarn itself is absolutely beautiful and very soft. Love the yarn - just a shame the picture isn't truer to the actual colour.

Having never worked with bamboo fiber before, I couldn't be happier with this yarn. It is soooo soft! Urchin is darker than I thought it was going to be (I thought at first that I had been sent Nebula by mistake), but it's still beautiful. The shine and the stitch definition are beyond incredible. The shawl I made is the perfect combination of slinky silky and cozy warm. I've already ordered two more colorways. This is going on the top of my list of Knit Picks products!

I reviewed this last year, and wanted to add that a year later, I've made 4 different sweaters with this yarn and they are GREAT! The hand is very soft, and the fabric wears well. Love it!

I started two projects and frogged them, not because of the yarn, but because the project didn't speak to me. This yarn stood up to the frogging and reknitting just fine and the sweater I just started with it is working up great! I really love this yarn.

I love the color and texture of this yarn, but when I needed to rip out a piece I had knitted on small needles, the 'halo' was so twisted, I had to go one stitch at a time with a needle, yanking the stitches apart. The surface of my knitted piece was beginning to look matted before I finished it, so I may use the remainder of my yarn stranded with a different type yarn.

I bought this yarn in the color Lunar. It seems a little darker in person than the picture shows but still a very gorgeous color. This yarn is so easy to work with and very soft. I am crocheting a shawl with it and it just works up so nicely.

Love this yarn! So soft! Knits beautifully.....may try on my knitting machine with what I have left over from my project!

The yarn is fabulous but the color chart in the pictures are WAY OFF ! I just bought 7 balls that I can't use on my project. Guess they will become part of my stash. Really disappointed.

I just finished a shawl requested by my DD. It was pure joy to feel this yarn sliding through my fingers. What I really like tho, is that the shawl is edged with long fringe and Galileo has a tight enough twist that the fringe should last for many, many years. Thank you, Knit Picks, for this beautiful yarn. PS: Ten balls of yarn and no knots, no thin areas, no imperfections in any of them.

I made a garment that was not appropriate for this yarn. I unravelled it, steamed it and rewound it and just finished making a new sweater that I charted myself. This yarn is wonderful, it stood up to the unravelling and steaming and has not lost any of it's texture or sheen. A pure joy to work with and I will be buying more.

I love love this yarn.. although the colors are not even close to what either of my computers show... The pictures are much brighter and what I got was a lot darker then the pictures show. Still beautiful yarn

I purchased this to make a hand knit sweater, and decided to try it on my standard knitting machine. Wow. So soft and easy to work with! I'll be finishing the cuffs, bottom, and collar by hand and am looking forward to that as well. I will definitely be purchasing this again. I hope Knitpicks adds more colors!!

I love this yarn. I made a scarf using quartz. This yarn is a pleasure to knit with. I used a pattern that had a little lace in it. The drape of the fabric is nice. It was a gift for my sister. She said that she wants another one in a different color. Pearl here I come.

I love this yarn. It's gorgeous and very soft. I bought two colors when it was on sale. I didn't get around to working with it until now. I started knitting a sweater using firefly. It looks so luminous and luxurious. Please add more colors.

I ordered this yarn to make a tank top- using a vintage pattern that I'm rewriting as I go. It is beautiful, easy to knit with, and definitely bounces back after stretching. I will use this in the future for sure; to make toys as well.

I love the feel of this yarn. Its colors are so rich. The 3 sweaters I have knit are beautiful with wonderful drape and the close fitting one does not looked stretched. I am going to use it to make a gift for a relative who lives in the Deep South who does not wear wool ordinarily.

I love this yarn. It knits up beautifully, holds the pattern and has a shine to it. Will use this again and hope for some new colors.

Fantastic yarn! I received this for Christmas and have just now finished up enough projects that I could treat myself to starting something new. I cannot believe I waited to use this yarn! It is lovely in the hand with a nice glide, yet not slick enough to slither off your needles. It has a subtle shine, that combined with the weight, gives it an absolutely sumptuous feel. Talk about indulgence! Definitely a keeper KnitPicks, just give us a few more lighter colors please. Thank you, thank you.

This yarn is beautiful to knit with. I'm making a shawl with lace sections and seed stitch texture. Galileo is easy on the hands, doesn't split, and has a nice sheen to it. I want more!

I am in love with this yarn! I can tell it will be a go-to for many projects to come. It's easy to work with, feels wonderful and looks just gorgeous. Knitpicks, this is a keeper!

This is one of the most beautiful yarns I've ever knit with. It has beautiful stitch definition and the colors are gorgeous. Everyone who sees me knitting with it stops to admire the yarn. Please continue to carry this, I can see myself knitting with it over and over again!

Just finished a summer sweater in firefly! Love the hand of the yarn ... very easy to work with. I love this yarn and am already thinking of my next project with it. ... I'll welcome more colors as they come along since I'll be using this for years to come!

This is a beautiful yarn to work with and the sheen is lovely.
