This yarn is awesome! I have knitting machine and use it to make fingerless gloves using an all over double tuck stitch. I do have to pay closer attention when knitting with this yarn because it snags easier than my other yarns but the end product is more than worth it. I list them in my shop as 'Fingerless gloves to die for'. Come take a look https://www.etsy.com/shop/bethsknits?ref=si_shop

The colors of this yarn are stunning -- I bought the sapphire -- and it is wonderfully soft. However, as others have said, it snags on itself constantly. You cannot just unravel to correct mistakes; each stitch must be unknit separately with frequent damage to the yarn. Also, when blocking the finished piece, according to KnitPicks directions, a great deal of blue dye dissolved into the (cold) water. My scarf is beautiful, but I don't think I would buy this yarn again.

the reason why I gave a poor rating is: Baby Alpaca 50 % Mulberry Silk 50 % is very hard to knit also the material is slightly coming apart, looks fussy .... I don't by this yarn any more...

When I first bought several skeins of Diadem I was delighted. It looks gorgeous in the skein. The colors are luminous, and it's very soft and luxurious. However, once I started knitting with it, I was disappointed. 1. You'd better not make a mistake because it doesn't hold up to unknitting at all. It is so fuzzy that it tangles and looks pretty bad when you unknit it and can't be reused. 2. The skein is so short on yardage that you can't make a normal-length scarf or shawlette from it. If you need to buy two skeins to make a project, the project suddenly becomes much more expensive to make and the yarn is not that great of a value. 3. The yarn is fragile and snags easily. The (short!) scarf I made from it was a gift and I'm sad to see that it has not held up well.

The good: This yarn is luxuriously soft and beautiful. The garnet fingerless gloves I knit looked/felt great, and were perfect for my colleague who can't wear wool. The colorway is soooo pretty. The bad: It sheds and tangles easily. I'm new to ordering yarn online and having to wind my own hanks so maybe it was just me, but getting this into a ball was a nightmare. If you have to rip back your work (sadly a common event for me) use lots of caution because the yarn is hairy and snaggy. Overall, it's lovely yarn. Now knowing what to expect, I'm looking forward to create something out of the turquoise colorway in my stash.

I just received my order and my first words upon seeing it was WOW. This yarn is so beautiful. I ordered eight of the colors and they are all stunning. They all have so much more depth in person than the thumbnails pictured. The descriptions however are right on hit. I already want to order more hehe.

It knits a little hairy, but it's sooooo soft! I love working with it. I'm not even done knitting my scarf and people are already complimenting the work and the quality of the yarn.

My son gave me three skeins of moonstone for Christmas and I had to have everyone feel how wondrously soft it is. I now have a lace shawl pattern picked out to make. Can't wait to wrap myself up in it--pure luxury!!!

I have had to store the yarn until I have the perfect pattern for fear of drooling on it. The colors are sooooo vibrant, and the yarn so soft.

SOFT and beautiful!! Has a wonderful sheen and unbelievable softness. Can't wait to find the perfect pattern and start knitting with it. Must be cowl or scarf so I can feel the softness.

The texture, the shine, the feel of this yarn is luscious. It is lovely to knit with, like rubbing your fingers on the satin of a blanket edge. I am knitting an entrelac scarf and the light plays beautifully on the individual blocks.

Wow! I just got this in the mail. I ordered Azurite, and it's beautiful and so, so soft! I am always hesitant to order new-to-me yarn online because I am really picky about only using soft yarn. This is wonderful. I just want to pet it. Highly recommend.

I just received my first hank of this and I think I said "Oh my God" and "whoa" 10 times because of how SOFT it is! I haven't felt a softer yarn. I was going to make socks but now I want a cowl or something that I can feel close to my face!
