Curio is by far THE best #10 crochet thread I have ever used. Very easy to work with. So soft with a beautiful sheen. No kicking up like with other stiff thread. More colors please.

This lace thread is very beautiful. The colors are a little darker than the picture suggests, but overall very glossy and beautiful. The thread is a bit looser than one would expect, but can be overlooked. Also to the people that are having trouble taking the cardboard out, I bought over 10skeins of different colors and had no trouble getting any of the cardboard out. Just bend the circle in half and bend that in half to take it out. I was contemplating not buying these because I don't like a hard time with the cardboard either. But I think my money was well spent. No trouble and beautiful thread. The only thing I ask for is that more colors (maybe a bit brighter ones) come out.

An amazing new crochet thread line, glossy, fine, strongly spun, with an easy hand and beautiful drape. This will replace all other #10 crochet threads I have used. A classic, timeless addition in fresh colors for crocheters everywhere.

I used this to weave on my rigid heddle loom - made dish towels by double warp and double weft. Awesome - i am ordering more colors!!!

I just love this thread. I am making a big tablecloth and it will look amazing. Very fast delivery too :)

I was disappointed at how easily it becomes knotted up. The colors are lovely and it has a nice sheen and soft feel - but, I don't think I would complete another item with it. I spent too much time untangling knots.

??? Well I finally broke down and ordered 2 balls of this for the first time. WOW WOW WOW!!! I decided I *had* to order the same thread that the designer had used to make the Gilded Shawl, and started working it up last night. This thread is my favorite for sure. Had purchased 4 balls of Coton mercerisé and even at 40% they were still more $$ than the Curio, and IMHO not as nice a feel to them. (have not used that brand yet) The Curio seems to be much more fluffy and works up with a feeling unlike any other threads I have used in 50+ yrs of hooking! The yardage for the price is fantastic and I know I will be ordering more of this, and the colors are beautiful. The silver is such a rich & elegant shade with a gorgeous sheen too. Wedding worthy

I used this to make some trim for a sheet set. It is not as tightly wound as I would have liked and it had many more woolly worms than the other threads I use. Some reviewers like the softness, and say that other thread is stiff. I prefer the crispness and tightness of other brands. The colors are great though.

An absolutely amazing thread to crochet my Boho Wrap Necklaces. They have a nice shine and feel, they are comfortable and the colors are rich.

I haven't worked with this thread yet, but I am so impressed with the sheen, quality and value of it. Every other type of lace thread has been heavy and rough, except maybe the bamboo thread that also has a sheen. The colors are so beautiful, and I will probably use it doing hand-embroidery on a patchwork cape I am making. Please make more colors soon!

I love this; it's my new favorite crochet thread :-) It's soft, it's gorgeous, it comes in a 100 gram/721 yard skein for only 3.99, but best of all, the center cardboard tube can be easily removed so that I can use this as a center pull skein, ka-ching! I recommend this for anyone who loves to crochet, especially clothes. I'm making a 25 yard skirt, and I must say that this thread works up beautifully. :-)

I love this crochet thread! I've been looking forever for a soft crochet thread instead of the usual stiff crochet thread sold in most stores. I have made lacy headbands, scarves and shawls out of Curio and I plan to make more items. I would like more colors now please.

This thread is fantastic. It is easy to work with, and had a lovely, almost silky, texture. Highly recommend.

I have to say, the colors this yarn comes in are exceptional. Almost painterly…very soft and muted and shaded well to go with one another. Brings new artistry to home dec projects like curtains, doilies, etc. Give it a try!

I ordered several colors of this thread, and while I am happy with the colors and the sheen of the thread, I am really unhappy with how the skeins are produced. In the center of each ball is a thick cardboard tube which must be removed to use the center pull ball. The tube does not go all the way through the ball, it's just in the center, and it is so tight that it is almost impossible to remove it. After wrestling with each ball for 5-10 min, I was able to get them out, but in most cases having to pull out a large chunk of thread from the middle which had to be wrapped around the skein before using. I am strong and good at dealing with finicky things; there is no way anyone older or with arthritis would be able to get this tube out, and they'd have to use the yarn from the outside which is extremely annoying. I don't understand why Knit Picks chose this construction - I have not had any issues with any of their other yarns and I will not be purchasing any more Curio until they fix the way the skeins are made.

Love this yarn! I crocheted a shawl using a large hook for the weight (4.25 mm) and produced a beautiful lacy pattern. I added beads too. I found the yarn quite soft to work with and then I had to wash the shawl when it was finished to remove the preservative chemicals put into the yarn at the factory, so the shawl is very supple now. Because the yarn is mercerized it looks as good after all the handling of construction and washing as it did on the skein. All in all a very good choice.

I just received my order and each color is vibrant, with a lovely sheen. Super soft and I'm using this in place of lace yarn for a garment test knit, I just know it will be super soft!

I ordered one of every color and just received my order yesterday. The yarn is gorgeous! The colors are perfect! I can't really compare this yarn to any other that I have. Although it is smooth and has a sheen, it is soft, unlike other cotton thread/yarns. I can't wait to swatch with it!
