I guess I lucked out because my China yarn is smushy soft and not at all Red Heart-ish. My issue is that it is maddeningly splitty(?). I'm working on a very detailed baby cardigan with tons of cables. I don't use a cable needle; I slip the stitches on the needles instead. Every stitch splits. It's just very frustrating. I can't even watch TV while I'm knitting because the yarn splits so much.

I recently ordered several skeins of the Brava Bulky. I was worried after reading many of the comments regarding the place of manufacture ( Turkey vs China ). I had skeins from both locations in my order and they both felt the same minus the Solstice Heather which felt like Redheart. Overall I have been happy with the yarn, but hope it doesn't start to end up like Redheart. Hopefully my next order will be just as positive!

Basically you get what you pay for. I purchased ten skeins during the 50% off sale. I'm not disappointed, but some of the colors just don't look like the pictures shown at all. I was surprised when I purchased crème brule and it turned out to be a pale yellow color. The yarn is very soft and seems to be of good quality, I just feel like I was almost deceived by the pictures!

I had ordered the Rainbow Sampler, and the yarn was fantastic! The yarn was soft and squishy! I also ordered some other colors to add to the blanket I was making with the Rainbow Sampler. The quality was so much different. It was hard, scratchy, and the yardage didn't seem to be the same. Even though the label said it had the same yardage :(. I decided to check out the other reviews to see if other people had the same problem. It looks like the yarn that was made in China left a lot left to be desired. Overall, the yarn was great. Just had a few skeins that were a little blah.

I am extremely happy with the Brava Bulky and I was planning on ordering more. I am somewhat hesitant to do so though because of the reviews I've been seeing lately about the product now being made China and that it doesn't seem to be as soft. Guess I will have to look else where =(

I was excited to try this because brava sport is so nice. I sadly did not have the same results here. It was much splittier, and had a much more plasticy feel. Oh well, back to brava sport!

The new made in China is just not the same as the original. Please let your customers know that you hear them and care when they are dissatisfied....go back to the original yarn from Turkey.

I love just about everything I order from this site. I did notice something a little strange in my most recent order that I actually received today. I ordered Brava Bulky in the Tranquil color. I immediately noticed it almost looks as if it's Medium Worsted rather then Bulky. I remember my very first order of Brava Bulky and it was in the Wine color. I don't remember having that feeling of it being Medium Worsted. I haven't worked with the Tranquil color just yet. It's still in the plastic bag it was wrapped in which was inside the box. I don't think it will alter my current project, but I just thought I would mention it. I wish I had the some of the Wine color left over to compare the two in size. Super soft and great quality though.

I love love LOVE Brava. However....PLEASE BRING BACK THE BRAVA MADE BY TURKEY. The new Brava yarn from China is not as soft, sticks to the needles, and is waxy!! PLEASE stop ordering from China!!

I really wish I could give 5 stars to this yarn but I just can't. I really love the brava collection. I've ordered a couple of times to make headbands, snoods and I have been working on the Hue Shift Afghan for a couple of months now. I just ordered six skeins of bulky to knit a baby blanket for a friend, four of the skeins from Turkey, and two from China. Lucky me! I can feel the difference when the skein is from China without looking at the tag. It splits, it stitcks to the needles and it's not soft and squishy like the skeins from Turkey. Please Knitpicks, stop ordering from China! (I hope that is why so many colors are back order.)

As far as the feel and texture of this yarn, I would give it excellent ratings. However, I purchased twelve skeins of silver to make an afghan as a gift and have found the color to be very inconsistent even within the same dyelot. I am about eighty percent done with my project and have at least four different shades. It is very noticeable in certain lighting. I am disappointed after all the work to be able to see such a difference in the shades. I wonder if I just got a bad batch, or if other knitters have had this problem. I've never had this problem with any other Knit Picks yarn.

The cream is more of a peach-tinted cream than the straight cream color pictured, the pink hue is quite strong.

I really love this yarn. It's inexpensive but doesn't feel cheap. I wish it came in varigated or tweed colorways.

I was more than pleasantly surprised when I received this yarn. It feels nice and has a better drape than many bulky weight yarns. I am currently using it double stranded in place of LB Hometown, and I even saved money by doing so. Couldn't be happier with my choice.

Nice yarn, but the cream is more buttery than creamy. If you're looking for a pale yellow yarn, this color is for you. More colors and softer colors please - how about lavender or a soft rose pink?

Wow this yarn feels so wonderful! I was expecting it to not be very soft, due to the great price, but it is amazing! Really loving this. It's soft and squishy. I'm using it to knit a blanket for my cousin's wedding.

The BEST yarn for amigurumi - please offer more colors in bulky!

This was a hard yarn to rate because there seems to be so much difference in quality among the different colors. I've used Rouge, Orange, Cream, Peacock, Peapod, and Fairy Tale. A few of them (Rouge, for example) were heavy, sturdy, and easy to work with while still feeling soft. Others (Peacock, particularly) were annoyingly splitty and seemed lighter-weight than the rest, but had a nicer sheen than the others. In general, I'm not a fan of acrylic. I wanted something that would withstand many, many years of washing and snuggling, though, so this seemed like the best option. Overall, I think it's a decent yarn. I worry about some of the colors holding up as well as the others, though.

Super soft & sturdy! Right away before I even started using it I was able to tell through the bag when my order arrived it was premium. It's definitely unlike any other acrylic yarn I've had before. The colors are nice and saturated. I love this site period!

Love this yarn! I have used it for several types of projects and it knits and crochets amazingly! It is wonderfully soft and sturdy and has a good drape when knit with 10.5 or higher.
