Sylphide Cardigan
Arching lace dances over and around this playful cardigan. Precise tailoring and a high neckline set the stage for a perfect pas de deux, as Art Deco motifs pull against each other. Turn around, and the full chorus appears in tight formation.
Each part of the body is worked in a different direction: the back from the bottom up, and each of the fronts sideways from the front band to side edge, with short-row shaping to create a neat waist. The sleeves are worked from the bottom up. The front armhole is deeper than the back armhole and wraps over the top of the shoulder with the seam lying on the back shoulder, creating the elegant English-tailored fit.
