Slip Stitch Stripe Cowl
The luxurious Slip Stitch Stripe Cowl is knitted in a simple, 4-row slip stitch pattern that lies perfectly flat and looks good on both sides. Single strands of Aloft mohair and silk yarn worked on fine needles make for a cushy, dense fabric you will love next to your skin. An easy, 2-row openwork lace finishes the edges with a flourish.
Sufficient stitches for the circumference are cast on provisionally, then knitted flat, back and forth in rows, on either circular or 14” straight needles, to finished height. Then the provisional cast-on is removed and stitches picked up for the openwork edging along the cast-on edge. After a light blocking, the open ends are whip-stitched to form a ring.
