I created this pattern out of a need for a great sock pattern that I could make for gifts that didn't require carefully captured measurements from feet all across the country. I couldn't find anything that really fit the need except for basic tube socks that not everyone likes the feel of. So I thought about different stitches that I could combine in order to create something that would naturally work with the shape of a foot.

I created it for gift knitting but I've fallen in love with it for my own personal sock knitting. These are SO COMFORTABLE!

This pattern is like magic! The front panel bends with the ankle and the back side stretches with the heel, no matter how high of an instep you have. They are great as house socks, or worn in roomy boots. They will keep your feet toasty when the air is chilly.

I gave these out as holiday gifts. The recipients as well as my testers are LOVING these socks.
