Do you find yourself with a need for colorwork but also craving a shawl? Unite your two knitting loves with the Unalakleet shawl! Knit seamlessly from the top-down, Unalakleet is a stranded shawl where the stitches are worked back and forth while intarsia twists connect the colorwork to the seed stitch edging. To facilitate the stranded purling, the purl side rows mirror the colorwork on the knit side. Finally, the transition from the colorwork body to the seed stitch bottom edging creates a slight ruffle for added interest. Available in two alluring colorways, both the Sea and Stone kits pair a solid with a tonal color for added interest and depth. The kit includes four 50 gram balls of Stroll Fingering and two 100 gram hanks of Stroll Tonal along with the pattern for the Unalakleet Shawl:
You will need a US 2 (2.75mm) circular needle at least 40" (100 cm) in length or size to obtain gauge, stitch markers (5), tapestry needle, and T-pins (optional, for blocking).
