Swirly Gig Hat Kit - Island

The Swirly Gig Hat is as colorful as it is warm, with extra thick earflaps to keep the chill away. The hat begins with a hem on the inside, and then earflaps are cleverly constructed using short rows to create a double layered fabric for extra warmth. The body of the hat is knit from the bottom up as you follow way through three different swirled motif charts. Knitting in the round with short rows, knitting, purling, and fair isle is sure to make this a "just one more row" project! Finish off the Swirly Gig Hat with optional braided tassels on the earflaps and the top of the hat, and you'll be ready to face those chilly winter days with this warm and woolly hat.
