A perfect knitted cozy for jars to hold pencils or other craft utensils. Create a single color jar cozy, a pencil color, or play with rainbow colors.
The jar cozies are knit in the round in garter stitch and finished off with an I-cord bind off. Optionally, you can add two loops to move the jar around. Another option is to use stockinette stitch in the round by replacing the purl rounds with knit rounds. Use a larger needle size for the I-cord. This way it will be easier to place the cozy onto a jar. The finished measurements may vary slightly depending on the size of the container you use.
