Yomut Socks

$16.95
The Yogmut are a Turkmen tribe found along the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea. Although little is known of their history, their rugs are distinctive in that they often show more variation than other Turkmen rugs. Using red as the main color, Yomut rugs are patterned with diagonal stripes that are made up of octagonal geometric forms called guls. The socks feature strong diagonals while the lace design creates small clusters within the lines, reminiscent of the guls in Yomut rugs. This pattern is perfect for lace knitters who want a portable sock project.
