Tulipe is a small to medium sized doilywith elements from the Estonian lace knitting tradition. The nupps echo the yarn over pattern, creating graceful V shaped lines near the edge of this round doily.
Tulipe is recommended for intermediate knitters, as it includes multiple charts and nupps. The knitting is done in the round, with yarn overs, triple yarn overs, and several different decreases. This pattern has a crochet bind-off, though other bind-offs may be substituted. Both written instructions and two charts are included.
