Stonycreek Wrap

A creek tumbles into a still pool, meanders around and over pebbles and stones, rippling gently. After its sunny meditation, it surges off again for further adventures downstream.  This wrap mimics just such a creek.  Edging cascades from either end; the center lace pattern flows calmly and will embrace you with a hint of ribbing.

It is made in one piece: edging, then center, and then edging again is worked, so there are no complicated joins.  Either Fingering or DK weight yarn may be used, and the pattern is written for both.  Fingering weight makes a light and airy wrap, while DK is cozy and shawl-like.  Either a chart or written instructions may be used for the lace, since both are included.  The pattern is intriguing for beginning lace knitters, yet also interesting to knitters with lace experience.
