This past year, I really fell in love with sportweight yarns. I like the lighter gauge and yet they knit up just a little faster than fingering weights. They make a lightweight fabric, but are still warm. This hat came with Spring in mind. A nice lightweight, but warm hat adorned with the buds of spring. A slip stitch pattern on the body adds texture as does the twisted stitch brim.
