Small Chick

This lovely little chick is the perfect quick project for springtime! It uses a small amount of yarn and requires very little finishing. The head and body are knitted as one piece and are stuffed along the way. The wings and beak are sewn on.
The pattern uses short rows to shape the head and the body while working in the round.
Some techniques used include: working in the round, short rows, k2tog, RLI (right leaning increase),ssk, and yo.
One skein of Knit Picks Dishie yarn (in Creme Brulee) will make about seven or eight chicks and it takes a very small amount of orange worsted yarn for the beak.
