The inspiration for this shawl was the character Rosalind from the Shakespeare comedy "As You Like It." Knit using fingering weight yarn (just one skein of Knit Picks Stroll Tonal), this pattern evokes the pastoral setting of Shakespeare's play. In naming the shawl I chose to use the spelling from the Thomas Lodge work “Rosalynde” on which Shakespeare based his play.
