Pennington Mittens

The inspiration for this mitten came from a bunch of small yellow flowers that I saw growing along the railroad tracks at Pennington Station along Lake Bennett in Yukon Territory. I liked the way that their extra long stems snaked around each other as they made their way up to the blossom. This mitten is the fibery translation of those little yellow flowers.
