The Ocotillo mittens are inspired by Fouquieria splendens, a common plant found in desert communities (specifically creosote scrub). It has upright spiny branches that leaf out only after a rain, which is reflected in the linear, textured ribbing around the cuff, which which tapers off to a point near the buttonhole. Make mittens or fingerless gloves - both have the refined design of the Ocotillo Mittens.
