Nature's Child Baby Blanket

The 15 reversible motifs included in this pattern provide so many possibilities! The two samples shown are a Maritime Theme blanket and a Nature Theme blanket, both knit in luscious Knit Picks yarn. The Maritime Theme blanket features a lighthouse, seahorse, octopus, starfish, moon, dragonfly, sailboat and anchor while the Nature Theme blanket features a second lighthouse, butterfly, dragonfly, tulip, apple, tree, maple leaf and heart. And there are so many other possible design combinations ~ create a tulip garden using only the Tulip square and the Double Moss square and perhaps a Butterfly or Dragonfly for the center; create an animal theme or use colours to match the nursery; create matching mini-pillows or washcloths by using only one square? Also, because each motif is square, the orientation of each can be changed when they are sewn together to provide even more variety. The Maritime Theme blanket uses 9 balls of Knit Picks Shine Worsted, one ball each of Citrine, Dandelion, Green Apple, Hydrangea, Iris, Pistachio, Reef, Sky and White; the Nature Theme blanket uses 9 balls of Knit Picks Swish Worsted one ball each of All Spice, Amethyst, Carnation, Green Tea, Honey, Orange, Pea Pod, Sugar Plum and White.
