Many people shy away from making socks because they find working with doublepointedneedles to be awkward or difficult. These socks are worked using the “magic” method, which takes two flat-knit pieces and combines them into a seamless tube as the second piece is worked. Each sock is worked in two pieces, which are knitted flat rather than in the round. The first stitch of every row is slipped. These slipped stitches will be used in joining the two pieces together as the second piece is worked.
