Lepidoptera socks are worked toe up and begin with Judy's Magic Cast on. The foot and cuff use a beautiful staggered butterfly lace pattern which creates the impression of wings and body of butterflies or (gasp) moths. The heel is a simplified short row (no wraps!) and a link to a tutorial video is included in the pattern. The cuff can be worked plain or beaded if you prefer your butterflies with a bit more pizzazz.
