Interlocking Diamonds Scarf Pattern

Create a unique look to your knitting with this fun technique. In the Interlocking Diamonds Scarf pattern from the book Knitted Shawls, Stoles & Scarves, each diamond is knitted separately in an interlocking diamond pattern, then joined to the diamond to the right and left of it when the stitches are picked up to begin a new diamond. This pattern is worked in two halves so the diamonds at the ends will face the same direction when the scarf is draped around the neck. The two halves are woven together at the back neck with a mattress stitch to create an invisible seam.
