Hawaiian Tattoo Socks is a toe-up, Fair-Isle pattern knitted on two circular needles and feature a wave-and-triangle pattern on the instep. The foot features a different triangle pattern that continues on the back of the leg. The pattern requires wrapping stitches in the back for any row with more than 4 consecutive stitches of the same color.
As a lifelong admirer of the islands, I created this as an homage to Hawaiian history, culture and of course, the wonderful people living the Aloha Spirit.
