Feather Lace Socks Pattern

This started out as an attempt to get a lace sock that was narrow enough for my feet. Most of the lace socks I found were too loose. So, I looked throughmy copy of Stanfield and Griffiths' Encyclopedia of Knitting and picked out this feather lace stitch pattern. The sock is worked from the toe up. It has a rounded toe and a slip-stitch variation on Squeaky's Widdershins heel. The feather shafts are worked through use of central double decreases.
