Dak Mai Hat

This top down earflap hat incorporates cozy cables and a tight gauge for an incredibly warm winter hat. Four large cables line the hat, broken up by knit panels with thin braids of mini cables down the center. These two sections give enough to hold the interest of the knitter without the end result becoming too busy. The thing that sets this hat apart is the contrasting color cable and edging. Each side of this cable is worked with its own strand of yarn, which minimizes the amount of floats on the wrong side of the work. The cable splits at the bottom of the hat, becoming the edging and ties.
