When my now-19yo daughter was traveling around, looking at colleges, I was home knitting her a pair of socks in the colors of the representative schools. She didn't go to the one represented by this pair -- so I got to keep 'em. They are so fun to knit and wear: cabled socks on big needles go so fast and are so amazingly warm to wear. Here, they're knit with KP's Wool of the Andes: Bulky. The directions have you knit from toe to leg (with short-row garter heel) so you can make them longer if you'd like -- just keep knittin' till you run outta yarn.
