Boo Bear Hat

I've had this pattern in my head for a while but forsome reason hadn't gotten it out until now. I am calling it Boo because it reminds me of a sweet little bear that I made up. My toddler loves to hear me sing (no idea why). I made up this rhyme when he was very little. He often requests my singing and when he does, this is what I sing to him.
This hat is knit in the round either on a circular needle or double pointed needles. The ear flaps are picked up and knit from the cast on edge after the main body of the hat is completed. The ears are knit separately and sewn on.
