Trilsea’n - (tril-shawn) :Gaelic for “braid”, these fingerless gauntlets display an offset two-strand Celtic braid up the length of the glove and a ribbed cuff. Cable design is also reversible. Looks great BOTH ways! These also work equally well for both men and woman. Wear alone to keep your fingers free for snapping photos or sketching outdoors.

The picture is gorgeous, and the cable is very nice. Unfortunately, the thumb is a problem. It is placed in a way that as you wear the mitt, the cable cannot be centered on top of the hand/wrist - the thumb is placed directly on the edge of the cable, so it has to either twist, or be worn quite off center. In addition, the process for the thumb is uneccessarily complicated, which could be solved by an easier method (such as holding dedicated stitches on a marker). It stretches the yarn over the widest part of the hand without any increases at all, which takes a beautiful wrist and makes a messy looking hand that requires a lot of mending/fill in with loose ends. All in all, an average pattern that would be better with a revision to the thumb. I have made one, and will need to alter the pattern before I make another.
