Designed by Sivia Harding

This beaded stole was inspired by Tibetan Buddhist art. You knit the center panel first, which is a large lace counterpane design, which resembles a mandala. Then pick up stitches along the edges of the center panel to create a gorgeous symmetrical lace rectangle. This design is highlighted by 732 seed beads, which are placed on each stitch with a tiny crochet hook, you don’t have to seed all of those beads ahead of time! The rectangle shape of this stole is very wearable, and this pattern would create a truly special heirloom.

Shown in Kenai Gloss Sock.

Notions: (732) Size 6/0 seed beads

Needles: Size 5 24" circular and DPNs
