I designed this scarf as an introduction to the technique of double knitting - creating a two-layer piece of knitting with a 'pocket' in the center. This pattern features an easy-to-follow approach that requires no purling; creating a reversible scarf that can be worked by a confident beginner, or anyone who would like to give double knitting a try. I used two colorways of a sock-weight yarn to keep the scarf from being too thick, and the contrast of colors makes a
delightful discovery, as you never know which colors will pair up. It can be worn by either gender.
