This stranded colorwork hat is much easier to knit than it looks. Create you own self striping yarn by dyeing a Bare Sock Yarn Dye Blank, then knit it with a solid colored yarn in a Fair Isle pattern. The background color will shift and change on its own, and the foreground design will pop. The Spider Hat was inspired by spider motifs in traditional Peruvian woven textiles, a tribute to the original spinners!

Shown in Midnight Heather Stroll Sock and a Bare Sock Yarn Dye Blank. Dyed with Emerald, Turquoise, and Sapphire Blue Jacquard Acid Dye.
Needles: Size 1 16" Circ & DPNs; Size 2 16" circ.
