The Shake the Barley Hat falls somewhere between winter cap and beret. It’s not quite either, but has elements of both to make it appealing. There’s the comfortable turned-up brim of a classic cap to add warmth around the ears and the semi-slouch, floppy top reminiscent of a beret or rasta style hat. Both sizes are written with the same number of pattern repeats; however, you can easily lengthen or shorten the main body by altering the stockinette rounds within the pattern, or working the plain rounds (after round 41) to your own specification
