Serab refers to a town in northwestern Iran that serves as a market for rugs in the region. Serab rugs classically have a long and narrow shape resulting from the style of loom that is used by the artisans of the region. As for the coloring, rugs from this area are usually camel colored along with blue and red design accents that create diamond shaped motifs. The socks feature vertical lines to create panels that mimic the long and narrow shape of these rugs. The lace patterning on the top and bottom reflect the diamond elements that are common to Serab rugs.
