Directions for this project in Knitted Lace of Estonia. This classic pattern was named for Queen Silvia of Sweden. It is a variation on the Lily of the Valley motif and includes an openwork flower motif between the sprigs of buds and gathered stitches above each set of sprigs. The lace edge on this shawl is picked up and knitted on, in the modern technique. Shown in Shadow Oregon Coast Heather.
