Polar Rivulets was essentially inspired by the desire to have a cable travel all the way up a sleeve across the neckline and down the other side. For this to happen a different sort of construction was needed; knit in three parts with a lower band of knitting around the waist, and two sleeves which contained short rows on the shoulders, a split at the neckline, and a graft at the back. This sweater design is reminiscent of the wind rivulets blown into the snow of the Canadian tundra and pays homage to the mighty polar bear who roams the northern reaches of the frozen plains.
Polar Rivulets level of difficulty is Intermediate. Knitters should be comfortable with cabling & short rows
