This elegant shawl explodes with a bold floral design. Flowers appear larger-than-life, as though you were a child looking wide-eyed at the blooms in your grandmother’s garden. It features Lilies, Daffodils, Crocus, Poppies, and Fuchsia, with a Rose and Iris as its centerpiece. It is not for the faint of heart - prior experience with intarsia is recommended! Shown in City Tweed DK Porpoise, Enchanted, Poseidon, Morning Glory, Habanero, Chipmunk, Tabby, Desert Sage, Splash, Plum Wine, Romance, Lemon Curd, Tahitian Pearl and Orca. Finished size is 20" x 60".

Suggested color substitution: Jacquard to replace Splash, Basil to replace Poseidon.

Notions: Fabric for backing

I've done other color work, but this shawl/wrap is perplexing. It has 5-6 pages of colored charts that go ACROSS each row on each page. So that means you are flipping pages on each line and have so many bobbins hanging, keeping your place is a nightmare. Not for the faint of heart. I've put mine away for now. It's just too complicated to work. (Not to mention the additional extra embroidered stitches when it's not worth swapping colors for one stitch. ) Very disappointed. There must be an easier way to do this. Maybe do each page and graft them?
