Directions for this project in Selbuvotter, Biography of a Knitting Tradition. This historic sample of Selbu gloves was originally discovered at the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle, Washington. The outside pattern design has been described as a spider sitting in a bough of fine branches, while the inside pattern can be found in Norwegian Knitting Design by Annichen Sibbern Bohn and is labeled specifically as a "mitten from Selbu".
