Mood refers to the small town in eastern Iran that is known for very high quality rugs. Having a very long textile history, Mood rugs incorporate a variety of designs that are all used in a similar manner. The featured designs are often smaller scale motifs that are closely packed together and repeated. This creates the neat and orderly appearance at first glance, until one looks closer at the intricacy of each smaller element. The sock design behind Mood is approached in a similar fashion. A single design element that grows longer as it travels downward is repeated across the entire sock. This repetition of smaller elements together build into a larger design that looks organized and structured without being to ornate. Combining structure with smaller scale pattern repeats makes Mood a versatile pattern suitable for both men and women.
